Google alert, feedburner, survey monkey and evaluation of Web 2.0

Hi all

Have successfully linked to google alert and feedburner. Google alert I'm ok with but i'm still a bit confused about feedburner.

Survey monkey is great. I'll be using that for sure.

Web 2.0 was fun while I did it but I must say I haven't continued to use it. I'm happy to know about all the applications so I know what people are talking about. I can't see myself using them in my personal time only because I'm not a big computer user but if work starts using blogs, wikis, flicker etc I'll be involved.

Bye for now.

first twitter

Okay, I'm no longer a twitter virgin.

Twitter Twatter

What on earth is all the fuss about. About as interesting as watching grass grow. I've got better things to do with my time.
You can probably guess I'm not the least bit interested in Twittering.

Updating my blog

Hi all

Took me a while but I've updated my blog. Not too bad. You could spend a lot of time changing things. Would I keep changing things? Probably not. Why do people constantly change things?

Podcasts

Now this I really like and find extremely useful. Imagine missing a radi interview or something similar and having the opportunity to download the podcast and hear it, even while on the move on your MP3. Fantastic!
This concept could easily work for the library. Think of all the things you could podcast or vodcast for t he public to access.

Slamming the Boards

I can just imagine the comments and reviews if my library decided to do this.
When do people actually find the time to check all the sites out. I can think of nothing worse than chaining myself to the computer in my spare time.
I must, however, be a dying breed as it is taking off all over the world.
Nice to see librarians getting it right with the answers.
